Being a good complementary therapist is not enough in itself to guarantee success. Success also depends on recognising that the therapy and good business skills go hand in hand.
On this workshop, students will gain the knowledge, confidence and skills to set up and run a successful practice.
Course content
• Setting up your practice - introduction to tax, insurance and complying with the law
• Your vision for your practice – what do you want from it and how will you achieve that?
• Personal strengths and weaknesses and how these relate to your practice
• Writing a promotional brochure - avoiding pitfalls and portraying yourself well
• Establishing a reputation – advertising safely, networking, cooperating with other health professionals
• Looking after yourself as a therapist
