What is Threading?
Threading is an achient skill that is fast becoming a popular treatment in the salons. This temporary method of hair removal, is an manual technique similar to plucking. Twisted cotton thread is passed across the skin to catch the hairs, removing them from their follicles, simular to plucking.
Its origin are a little ambiguous, but it is believed that it was first used in Arabia, Turkey and India.
What are the benefits of Threading?
Threading is a simple, cheap and an efficient way of removing unwanted hair with minimal pain and minimal skin irritation.
Very short hair can be removed and there is little irritation to the area making it possible to go over the area more than once. Hair can be removed individually or in 'lines' to create a perfect shape and can be removed from both above and below the eyebrow giving the threaded eyebrow its characteristic groomed appearance.
A 100% anti-bacterial cotton thread imported from India is used which allows strength but resilience during the technique whilst reducing the risk of infection.
Threading is mainly performed on the face e.g. upper lip, eyebrows, chin, sides of face, nose, ears, neck and forehead but can be used all over the body.

• Hygiene, Health and Safety
• Anatomy and Physiology of the skin, hair and hair growth cycle
• Application of three threading techniques
• Hand, mouth and neck method
• Case Studies
• Assessments at the end of the training
Course Cost: £125.00 exc vat (inc vat £146.88)
Course cost includes – Tuition, work packs, assessments, all resources, kit to practice
VTCT exam fees applicable if applicant has no qualifications in the beauty therapy industry.
It is not nessary to complete VTCT qualification if applicatant is alrady qualified in waxing or level 2 beauty therapy as insurance is covered under previous qualifications
